This is a funny story. We decided one to day to take the jeep up to Willard Peak one afternoon. Remember, this was before it was groomed. It took us nearly two hours to go ten miles, it was awful. By the time we got to where we wanted to get to, we were both beyond stressed out and annoyed from all the jolting and bouncing. Anyway, we finally got to the top and weren't in the mood to do anything but sit. We forgoed our hiking plans and I just watched him boulder around. AND I saw a huge moose too.
September, 2008. Teton National Park, right after he proposed to me. He was so nervous. About two months before, one saturday morning I was looking at rings online. Just browsing, and he saw what I was doing and was like get ready lets go to Logan. We walked into the store and the very first ring I saw, I fell in love with. I told him about it, when he proposed that is the ring that I want. Anyway, we left. A few weeks later, I was cleaning out the jeep and stumbled upon a wooden box. I opened it and found the ring that I picked out. I was so exciting but pretended I didn't find it. Anyway, time went by, and more time went by and I began to wonder, what he was waiting for! One weekend we decided to go up to Lava hot springs, and the Tetons ( his very most favorite place ever) He wanted to show me. I was secretly hoping that he was going to propose to me that weekend. He planned out the entire weekend and the first place we stayed was a place in Alpine. I think that is what it was called, right outside of Jackson. The next morning we got up early and we planned to go into the park. He wanted to take a ferry ride across Jenny lake and hike to a waterfall. We got out of the car, and headed towards the dock. When we got to the gift shop, he freaked because he forgot his wallet in the car and told me to wait here while he went to get it. I thought nothing of it and waited for him there. We got on the boat and I was overlooking the beautiful lake when he whispered my name. I turned around and boom, there he was with the ring. He asked me to marry him in front of everyone else on the boat, it was so adorable. He was soooo nervous though, i had never seen him so nervous in my life, like shaking nervous, it was cute. I asked him later why he was so so nervous, and he said he was afraid i would say no. hahaha...which actually my first response was no. Just to be funny. Anyway, we hiked to the waterfall and the video below is us at the top of the waterfall. We spent the next day in Lava hot springs at the Lion Gate Manor bed and breakfast. It was the most amazing place I had ever been. What a great weekend that I will remember forever. :]
